BASIL READ

Basil Read Holdings Limited is one of the most prominent heavy construction groups in South Africa, operating in the industrial sector. In just about every area of the construction industry, Basil Read plays a leading role. The group is active in the areas of civil engineering, road construction, building, mixed integrated housing developments, property development, opencast mining, and engineering design, procurement and construction management.

BUDGET OFFICE FURNITURE

Budget Office Furniture, based in East London, has two factories manufacturing and distributing high quality office and school furniture.

BUILDMAX

Buildmax is a leading provider of opencast mining, mining services and bulk earthworks to the South African mining and construction industries. The Group is able to service these industries due to its investment in mining and construction equipment as well as its management of information, wealth of intellectual capital and experience gained over more than 20 years.

CSG Holdings (Formerly M&S Holdings)

CSG Holdings is a listed industrial contract services group. The group provides outsourced personnel services, including recruitment and specialised staffing, facilities management which includes security, contract catering, cleaning and food services, and outsourced industrial and mining support services to a range of clients.

The company was formed by the merger of CSG Holdings and M&S Holdings and the business continues to be highly acquisitive with recent acquisitions being: ConinghamLee is a specialist recruitment and placement business and a number of security related businesses including 7 Arrows Security, Cubed Systems, Hi-Tech Laeveld, Hi-Tech Nelspruit and Hi-Tech White River.

COEGA AUTOSPRAY

Coega is a supplier of painted plastic parts to the automotive industry. At the time of Coega’s formation there was only one supplier of painted plastic parts to the Eastern Cape automotive industry and in order to reduce reliance on one supplier, Delta Motor Corporation encouraged the creation of Coega as an alternative supplier with more versatile engineering methods. Delta Motor Corporation was subsequently acquired by GM and has become a key customer.

INDWE AVIATION

Indwe Aviation (Pty) Ltd (“Indwe”), is a South African Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment (“BBBEE”) company. Indwe has the credentials, expertise, ability and infrastructure to provide a cost effective world class service to the aviation industry.

Indwe is the current aviation services provider to PetroSA (South Africa’s State Petroleum Company), having taken over these services from CHC in 2008. The services rendered by Indwe to PetroSA include the following:

Transportation of people, equipment and cargo in terms of scheduled flights to and from the George airport to the various installations offshore on a 24/7 basis.
Indwe also provides passenger handling and management of the operational base at George airport (a dedicated PetroSA departures facility).
This includes safety briefings, provision of lounge facilities for waiting passengers, baggage handling etc.

The shareholders of Indwe are inter alia : Titan Helicopters, Vuwa Investments and Sinvent Investments.

MATLOSANA MEDICAL HEALTH SERVICES

Matlosana Medical Health Services (MMHS) provides healthcare services through three hospitals, which are the Wilmed Park Private Hospital, Sunningdale Hospital and Parkmed. These facilities offer world-class medical care to the Klerksdorp area.

Wilmedpark is a 186 bed hospital, offering 24 hour casualty ward, intensive care unit, maternity ward, pediatric ward, general medical and surgical wards, five theatres, radiology centre and an oncology centre.

Sunningdale is a 56 bed unit offering services including a day clinic, two theatres, a caesarian unit, a paediatric unit, medical and surgical wards, a psychiatry unit, a plastic surgery and a sleep clinic.

MENZIES AVIATION

Menzies Aviation provides ground handling services to South Africa’s bustling airports. The company provides passenger, ramp and cargo handling services along with aircraft cleaning services to several global airlines including the following.

THE MOTOR LAB GROUP

The Motor Lab Group is a cutting edge panel beating business that prides itself on world class technology and engineering practices. PA MEDIA

PA Media is a publishing house with many prestigious property publications in its stable, including Property Junction, Homefinder, Property Guide, Homeguide, Property Seller and Property Trader. PA media has also extended its reach into the online space.

MR PRICE MOZAMBIQUE

Vuwa pioneered the first Mr Price franchise store in Africa with the opening of the first store in Maputo in 2009. Since then the company has added two further stores, a second in Maputo and one in Matola.

In recent years Mr Price Mozambique has built a strong brand following with customers that bridge the upper and lower income segments. The wealthier fashion-conscious segment often combine Mr Price affordable fashion wear with premium brand names and the large low income base will wear low cost brands with the more trendy Mr Price clothing.

ROLFES HOLDINGS

The Rolfes Group (listed on the JSE) manufactures, buys-in and distributes a wide range of market-leading, high-quality chemical products to more than 3000 clients operating in diverse industries including the coatings, plastics, ink, metallurgical, water filtration, cleaning, formulators, automotive, engineering, agricultural and construction industries.

SPACE SECURITISATION (TRADING AS URBANSPACE HOUSING)

UrbanSpace Housing is an affordable property development initiative between Old Mutual, Vuwa Investments, Probuild Construction Group and Renprop (Space Developments). UrbanSpace Housing offers a complete home ownership solution, packaged from start to finish. This entails the sourcing and rezoning of suitable land for development, building the infrastructure and installing the basic services and building the houses. Finally, UrbanSpace sources potential clients with active marketing strategies and assists buyers with bonds approvals.

STATELINE PRESSED METAL

Stateline, founded in 1983 in the Eastern Cape, specialises in the production of pressed metal parts. They are a supplier of body panels to most of the local auto manufacturers, including GM and VW. They utilise a mixture of manual and robotics to "value add" to any customer requirements from spot welding, sealing, weld nut assembly and inspection.

Quality, cost-effective service focused on continuous productivity improvement is a company success factor. SPM has been recognised as Supplier of the Year for a local OEM, as well as receiving several Top Ten Supplier Awards during the company’s history. The company’s quality system has been tailored to suit the various requirements of customers with ISO9002, QS9000 and VDA6.1 accreditations gained in past years. Enhanced TS16949 requirements as prescribed by the International Automotive Task Force has also been met since 2004.

Stellar Capital Partners is a diversified JSE listed investment holding company. Investments include Torre Industries Limited a listed industrial group, Cadiz Holdings Limited a financial services group specializing in institutional and personal investments, Praxis Financial Services a short term finance to the panel beating industry, Tellumat providing electronic technology to the telecommunications, defence, transport and energy industries and Integrated Equipment Rentals providing ICT Asset finance solutions to businesses in acquiring critical technology infrastructure.

TRADELINK TEXTILE INDUSTRIES

Tradelink Textiles is a leading manufacturer of cotton t-shirts and pique knit golf shirts in Africa. The group's manufacturing operations are situated in George and Lesotho. The production process is fully vertically integrated and consists of several manufacturing operations, covering the full spectrum of textiles and clothing production, i.e. yarn spinning, fabric knitting, fabric dyeing and finishing and cutting and assembly of garments.

VUWA AVIATION

Vuwa Aviation is Vuwa’s aviation holding company. In addition to its stake in Indwe Aviation, Vuwa Aviation owns a fixed-wing aircraft in partnership with Indwe’s group holding company, Titan Helicopter Group.

VUWA HOSPITALS

Vuwa Hospitals has been awarded a hospital licence in George and is currently developing a hospital with regional partners.

WESIZWE PLATINUM

Wesizwe Platinum is a JSE listed mining company. The company is in process of developing a platinum group metals mine outside of Rustenburg. Its main project remains one of the best un-mined PGM assets in South Africa with a current resource of over 13 million PGM ounces with an estimated steady state production 420,000 PGM ounces a year. Production is expected to start in second quarter 2017.
