B.Proc (University of Fort Hare) and an LLB (University of Natal) (Pietermaritzburg).
Dumisani was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 1984. He has served as an acting Judge of the High Court, serving in this position for three terms. He was one of the founding partners of Smith Tabata & Van Heerden in King William’s Town. In addition, Dumisani has served as Deputy Chairman of the ABSA Bank regional board in the Eastern Cape.
He serves as on various boards, including Stellar Capital Partners Ltd, Coega Autospray, Budget Office Furniture, Amadlelo Agri, and Matlosana Medical Health Services. He serves as a director of Smith Tabata Inc. in King William’s Town and East London, and Smith Tabata Buchanan Boyes in Cape Town and Johannesburg.

B Comm. Accounting (University of Bophuthatswana / now North West University). Postgraduate degree in Accounting (UCT).
Kennedy qualified as an accountant in 1991 and went on to complete various supplementary studies, including Information Systems 3 with Unisa and a Higher Diploma in Tax with RAU.
He served articles at PriceWaterhouseCoopers and went on to work in Corporate Finance at Nedbank, where he was involved in major acquisitions and corporate restructurings.
Kennedy served as a special advisor to the late Minister of Public Enterprises Ms Stella Sigcau, forming part of the team that produced the framework for the restructuring of state assets. In this capacity, Kennedy led various restructuring processes of state assets including South African Airways, Eskom and Transnet.
